Continuous-time signal:
A signal which is continuous both in time and amplitude iscalled continuous-time signal.
The continuous signal is a mathematical function of independentvariable , where the variablerepresentsa set of real numbers. It is required that signals are uniquelydefined in except for a finite number of points.

A signal which is continuous in amplitude but discrete in timeis called discrete-time signal.
