Hello,

Upgraded Dell Studio XPS 8100 (circa 2010) from Win 7 to Windows 10 yesterday. Upgrade went smoothly without any prompts or errors. However one main thing is now broken - no network connectivity. All other installed apps and drivers seem to be working fine.

Built in NIC = Broadcom NetLink (TM) Gigabit Ethernet

Device ID = pciven_14e4&dev_1692

I've already tried re-installing the drivers available from Dell and from the Broadcom website but no go.

Device Manager shows device as happy and 'working properly'. But Network Settings is Blank. 'Change Adapter Settings' is blank. I don't even see the NIC card.

I have an older Level One Wireless USB stick but those drivers (from 2009) won't install.

Kind of at a loss now what to do with the driver. Is it possible to get a compatible driver? Do I need to change something in Registry to get the Networking Center to 'see' my NIC card?

Worst case - is there a known PCIe NIC Card that's compatible with Win10 that I can buy?
